Reason #4

Smart Money

Well, we all know about dumb money

One hundred percent of a donation is dedicated to the project

Any donation can be entirely dedicated to a chosen project. In that case no money will go to the functioning of the Foundation.

There are two separate banks accounts. One account is exclusively dedicated to the support of the project. The other one used for the day-to-day expenses of the Foundation.

We offer those who want to help us financially a rare opportunity. One hundred percent of the money goes to the volunteers on the ground.

A direct monthly dialogue with those running the project.

We organize—when feasible—a short monthly virtual meeting between those who support the project and those running it. Questions can be asked, and answers will be provided.

Every project has a very light structure.

Sometimes everybody works on a voluntary basis. Other times there is a mix of people on a salary and volunteers. Sometimes the volunteers have not even yet officially registered as an NGO. They are busy doing what they do best: helping people.

Projects are supported to grow.

Our objective is to help those organizations we support to grow, to be self-sufficient. There is a point where money is essential. But maybe there comes a time when money is not a game changer anymore. That is when Poremma’s support will be better placed elsewhere.
